Fradley Junction lock Winter 2008

Hi all , well we have had the first snow of the year which as you will see from the pictures taken early morning looks great but brings with it the frosts cutting off our water and making the walk along the pontoons an interesting pastime. However I have started to decorate the stools in the saloon Carol decided that she wanted hero on one of them two with roses and a castle on the other so I started with the hardest one pictured below. The others will have to wait until after Christmas “me thinks”.

Hello again

WE are just recovering from spending a few days in Staffordshire delivering and collecting Christmas presents, and rushing around visiting friends. We took the family out for a Christmas and Birthday meal on the Sunday as it was our Grand-daughters 16th Birthday and as you will see by the photos a very Merry Time was had by all. It was a mad weekend we managed to pack so much in that when we got back to the boat it took us a couple of days just to catch up on our sleep. The hire car was full on the trip up and I thought that we would have the luxury of much more room on the way back. How wrong can you be it was almost packed to the roof and we still have not found space for many of the items brought back. I have now also signed up to Facebook so have the job of trying to keep both sites up to date now. Next week I will be posting the preperations for Christmas at the Marina .
